Pope Benedict fighting extreme secularism in visit to Britain

Father Raymond J. de Souza writing at the National Post: “Benedict’s argument, to be made most dramatically tomorrow at the Palace of Westminster, is that an exclusive or extreme secularism that drives all religious values and voices out of public life leaves itself defenceless against the tyranny of passing trends. A Europe that cuts itself off from its religious roots puts at risk the foundation of a free and virtuous society.”
