The purpose is to introduce Iowans to the Family Leader – a new umbrella advocacy group that Vander Plaats leads and that includes the Iowa Family Policy Center – and to build statewide support for all “pro-family” government policies, from restricting abortion to fostering economic growth to limiting government, he said.
