A gospel message displayed on private business property in Gouverneur will remain until a decision is reached in a lawsuit filed by Alliance Defense Fund attorneys. New York Department of Transportation officials agreed to delay their plan to force Daniel Burritt to remove the tractor trailer bearing the message until 30 days after a decision is reached in the case.

They call it harassment to respectfully express a Christian viewpoint, which is all the more ironic in schools that give diplomatic immunity to pro-homosexual speech that claims to be all about “tolerance.”

The town charged Mr. Burritt last fall with not having a permit for a religious message on a parked semitrailer on his property on Route 11. The town contends the trailer is a billboard.

Lt. Cmdr. Joseph Healy, represented by the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), filed a complaint last week in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

The substantive moral issue at hand is this: if a person becomes cognitively disabled so that he or she can’t eat except through a tube, but that person is not dying, can you withhold feeding them by a tube?
