Cure for maternal deaths – abortion

OneNewsNow: “The African Union has bowed to pressure to promote abortion as a way to deal with maternal deaths . . . Joseph Meaney, director of international coordination for Human Life International (HLI), tells OneNewsNow why the issue should be inspected more deeply. ‘It’s very clear that the African Union is working in lockstep with the International Planned Parenthood Federation — and to a certain extent [with] the United Nations as well — to promote abortion in the context of maternal health,’ the pro-lifer suggests.”

African Union bows to pressure to back abortions to reduce maternal deaths

LifeNews: “The summit ended with Member States extending the controversial, non-binding Maputo Plan of Action (PoA) for an additional five years and expanding new initiative called the Campaign on Accelerated Reduction on Maternal Mortality in Africa (CARMMA). Pressure was placed on the AU from UN agencies and foreign non-governmental organizations (NGO).”
