Baltimore City Council supports civil marriage

The Baltimore City Council has passed a resolution supporting a separate state Senate bill that would give same-sex couples the right to a civil marriage. The Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Protection Act [HB 351], introduced by Sen. Richard Madaleno Jr., a Montgomery County Democrat, distinguishes civil from religious marriage.
