Connecticut Supreme Court backs opening of adult store on Route 5

NorthHavenPost.com reports:

The adult book and video store that was the subject of a state Supreme Court appeal will soon open on Washington Avenue – complete with 15 “preview” booths.

In a 3-2 decision released last Wednesday, the Supreme Court sided with Dennis M. Loring’s right to open the adult-oriented store in a vacant spot in the Dell’Oro Plaza at 144-154 Washington Ave. The court majority said that the Planning and Zoning Commission did not offer sufficient evidence when it ruled in 2005 that the video preview booths were not a permitted use.
