What about the people that are charged and convicted of a DUI who have seriouse medical needs and are put into a infirmary that does not give them there insulin to live. Example: Deborah Braillard died. There are alternatives to sentencing. Not only should Sheriff Joe be sued but the Judge and Prosector also, they are aware of the defendents medical needs and are aware of how he runs his infirmary and there are alternative sentencing that can be given.
I might be the next Type I diebetic to die, diagonosed a brittle diebetic. They take your meter, strip and finger poker away from you. That is a diebetics life line. Food is an issue. Eating twice a day will drope your level down, very low and you can die. I am not saying if you do the crime don’t pay for it. They give ankle braclets to hard criminals whay not a ankle braclet, probation, interlock device to peole who have serious helath problems. Someday someone in your family might run into a problem with Sheriff Joe and be in a similar position. Will you fight for there right for medication.

The Sheriff needs not remind the ACLU and others that prisoners are incarcerated for a reason and by doing so the prisoner has limited rights and privileges. Only free, non-prisoners, have all their rights! Right!

I think sherrif Joe is doing what needs to be done about the illegals. Policemen in the valley should be doing the same but aren’t. Seems like the illegals are being protected by city policemen so the illegals can be kept in service. So the Phoenix mayor and other city officials insult the sherrif for doing his job.
I support sherrif Joe for doing his job.

Good for him. The real question is, with so many people opposed to abortion, why aren’t more people standing up for their beliefs this way? How can anyone who recognizes abortion’s horrors facilitate its occurrence?

I hope the officials of Maricopa county either voluntarily or by FORCE of law defend their sheriff in court. If they are required by FORCE of law, I hope it just galls them to no end. And, I hope the sheriff prevails…as he should. A previous poster is correct. There are many couples who would be very happy to adopt.

I think the Sheriff did the right thing in obeying God rather than man in protectiong the unborn an their mothers who are incarcerated in the State of Arizona and internationally.

Good for Sheriff Joe. I wish all Sheriffs were as moral. If those pregnant women don’t want their babies, there are plenty of married men and women who would take them in a heart beat. We have to stop the murder of “Arizons’s Kids”.
