CA: Group asks Tracy to drop religion from invocations
Mike Martinez reports in the San Joaquin Herald: “A Wisconsin group acting ‘on behalf of concerned Tracy residents’ is asking the Tracy City Council to stop beginning its meetings with prayers that often reference Christianity and invoke the name of God. In a six-page letter to the city, the attorney for the Madison, Wisc.-based Freedom From Religion Foundation wrote demanding an end to the practice.”
