Oklahoma legislator under attack for saying H-Agenda is destroying the nation
The AP carries this report:
I’m not gay-bashing. But according to God’s word that is not the right kind of lifestyle,” Rep. Sally Kern of Oklahoma City said during an appearance before a group of Republicans. Her comments were recorded and posted on the video sharing Web site YouTube on Friday.
“Studies show no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted more than a few decades,” Kern says in the recorded comments. “It is not a lifestyle that is good for this nation.”
On Monday, Kern said her comments were edited and taken out of context. Kern said they were directed at wealthy, politically active homosexuals who are contributing money to gay and lesbian candidates for public office in Oklahoma and other states.
“I was talking about an agenda. I was not talking about individuals,” said Kern, the wife of a Baptist minister. “They have the right to choose that lifestyle. They do not have the right to force it down our throat . . .
“This stuff is deadly and it’s spreading and it will destroy our young people, it will destroy this nation.”

Ahh, context, context, context. But something as silly as context shouldn’t get in the way of sensationalist reporting, now should it? ;o)
Sally Kern is exactly right. This society is doomed.
God bless Representative Sally Kern! Perhaps this will give strength to other legislators so this country’s government can begin on the road back to the basics of the foundation of the country. Especially the road leading back to our Christian principles.
THE LADY IS RIGHT
Homosexuals do not procreate they recruit. With them for leaders, this nation would become subservient’s to misfits and deviants.
They can live their life style if they wish. Leave me and mine alone
Thank you Sally Kern for speaking the truth. May the Lord give you the strength and the wisdom to withstand the criticism. Our young people need to know that we have beliefs that are important to us and worth standing for even when others do not agree. I believe that we should all reconsider all our “politically correct” thoughts and conversation and begin to communicate our faith in a sovereign God who has given us valid commandments for living.

I would agree with Sally Kern. We need to alert people to Homosexuality as a cancer in society. It needs to be handled as a condition that needs help, not embraced as a life style.
Thank God for individuals like Rep.Sally Kern and all who will stand up and be heard in defense of the Word of the Lord Our God. The time is come and in fact past due that all “saints” of God speak out against the “sin” of homosexuality and at the same time pray for those who practice this sin. Individuals and groups in this nation whose intent it is to silence the Word of God will not succeed. There is no place in God’s Word for “political correctness” or those who would impose such blasphemy. Those who would attack Rep. Sally Kern and any other similar positions do in fact attack God. The judgement
for such actions is certain and eternal.

I totally agree with Mrs. Kern. I wish more Rep. would speak out, like Mrs. Kern and not be quiet because they are afraid. It is not that we dislike the person, it is the lifestyle we do not agree with. We are called homophobics! I wonder if they ever considered that they may be hetrophobic.
Now more than ever before in the history of our nation, people need to be told what they NEED to hear, rather than what they WANT to hear.

Christians must, more than ever before, learn to show the perfect balance of LOVE for sinners (Joh. 3:16), but at the same time, to show HATE for the evil they embrace (Psa. 97:10). Also, now more than ever before, Christians need to know their Bible well and always be ready to “give a defense” from the Holy Scriptures for what they believe (1 Pet. 3:15), as Ms. Kern has so eloquently done (”I am not gay-bashing. But according to God’s word that is not the right kind of lifestyle.”)
My dear Christian friends, it is NOW time to be UNITED TOGETHER AS * ONE * PEOPLE in JESUS CHRIST and in His Most Holy Name, by obeying His teaching in Joh. 17:20-21, and Paul’s admonition in 1 Cor. 1:10.
Thank you Rep. Kern. I pray everyday for more Christian men and women to enter the political arena and then stand up for what the Bible teaches. Thank you again.
