Students nationwide to observe “Day of Truth”

Monday

Fourth annual event sponsored by ADF to allow students to peacefully express
Christian viewpoint on homosexual behavior

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.
— Monday, high school students across the nation will have the opportunity to participate in the fourth annual “Day of Truth,” a student-led initiative sponsored by the Alliance Defense Fund.

“Christian students should be allowed to express their viewpoint just like any other student,” said ADF Senior Counsel Joe Infranco. “The Day of Truth is an opportunity for Christian students to respectfully present a different viewpoint than students participating in the Day of Silence. The consequences of making decisions with inadequate information can be severe. Students can’t be expected to make good, well-informed decisions if they’re only hearing part of the story. Making informed decisions requires having good information.”

The Day of Truth is held on the next school day after the Day of Silence, an event promoted by the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network, which urges students to remain silent for an entire day to express their approval of homosexual behavior.

Participating students in the fourth annual Day of Truth will wear “Day of Truth” T-shirts and hand out cards during school hours, but not during class time, with the following message:

I am speaking the Truth to break the silence. True tolerance means that people with differing – even opposing – viewpoints can freely exchange ideas and respectfully listen to each other. It’s time for an honest conversation about homosexuality. There’s freedom to change if you want to. Let’s talk.

“Silence doesn’t teach anything,” said Infranco. “An open, honest, and respectful discussion, however, allows Truth to rise to the surface.”

Are you taking any action to oppose the indoctrination occurring in California education? As of January this year, in rspponse to SB 777, the CA Department of Education mandated that children from K-12 should be forced to hear that homosexual, transsexual, and bisexual life styles are normal. Further according to Assemblyman Doug LaMalfa and Joel Anderson SB 777 will result in “the elimination of phrases like ‘mom and dad’ and ‘husband and wife’ from our public schools.” This is ridiculous! The homosexual concept appears to be integrated into the whole curriculum such that one could not opt their students out of this indoctrination without removing the child from the public school.

I think this is a wonderful idea! What a great way to express what we believe in a very reverent, God-honoring, way that doesn’t compromise our biblical worldview! Well done!!
