Virginia: No charges, because “bride” and “groom” not clearly defined
The AP reports: “A couple who obtained a state marriage license and had a ceremony before authorities realized both were biological men will not face charges, officials said Monday.”
Authorities said that since “bride” and “groom” were not clearly defined on the marriage license application, they might not be able to prove intent to commit fraud. The application has been changed to “male applicant” and “female applicant.”
