ADF attorney heads new European efforts in defense of religious freedomhttp://www.alliancedefensefund.org/news/story.aspx?cid=4830 ALLIANCE DEFENSE FUND NEWS RELEASE ADF attorney heads new European efforts in defense of religious freedom SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Alliance Defense Fund has significantly strengthened its ongoing efforts in defense of religious liberty overseas by appointing Roger Kiska as its legal counsel n Europe. Kiska’s efforts will help stem the tide of bad European legal precedents that find their way to America. “Bad legal rulings in Europe don’t always stay in Europe. American courts are increasingly relying upon foreign decisions. This forward-thinking effort will help equip Christian attorneys with the resources to effectively argue for religious liberty abroad so that the pool of bad foreign precedents does not overflow into the U.S.,” Kiska said. Before joining ADF, Kiska served as legal counsel for the European Centre for Law and Justice. His main responsibility will be the development of an attorney network across Europe to litigate and win religious liberty cases. Kiska received his bachelors’ degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and his J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law in the U.S. “With the increased importation of international law by American courts, it is critical that we stem the tide as close to the source as possible,” said ADF Chief Counsel Benjamin Bull. “Our European efforts are designed to help reverse the erosion of religious liberty in Europe and allow us to better protect and preserve religious liberty in America as well.”
