Pentagon lifts ban on women in submarines, some want to lift combat ban

Reuters: “The Pentagon said on Tuesday it is moving ahead with plans to end the U.S. military’s ban on allowing women to serve in submarines . . . Testifying in the Senate on Tuesday, Army General George Casey said he thought it was time to re-examine the policy that places restrictions on women in combat roles.”
